The Kingdom of Bhutan is a small country in South Asia tucked in the eastern end of the gigantic Himalaya Mountains. This landlocked nation shares the borders with India in the south, east and west while they link to China in the north and the Indian state of Sikkim separates the kingdom from Nepal. The Bhutanese call their country ‘Druk Yul’ which means the land of the thunder dragon. The Kingdom is one of the world’s east developed and isolated nation.

The kingdom’s capital city is Thimphu and people in Bhutan are called Bhutanese who usually speak Dzongkha as the country’s official language. Bhutan is a Constitutional Monarchy and now His Majesty the King Jigme Khersar Namgyal Wangchuk, the fifth king of the Wangchuk Dynasty is reining the country.
